1. I like longer hair compared to short hair
2. If I want to be very practical, I'll go for soft rebonding
3. A thick mane is unappreciated in this part of the world.
4. Neighborhood salon give really cheap rates. Because they don't use water (is it too precious in singapore?) and the hair stylist only spends 15 minutes with you (hmm... time is really precious isn't it?)
5. Big salon also spend only 15 minutes with you and give you water only if you asked.. Well, at least it's the same standard
6. Hair stylist that cannot speak english, should be an indication that something's fishy.
7. Chinese hair stylist (or those with naturally super straight hair) seem to have only 1 solution in facing a thick curly hair like mine: cut very short, proceed to thin until almost bald.
It's like the saying goes "never trust a skinny cook", I'll only trust a curly-haired stylist. Serves me right for not going to a hair stylist while I was still back home in Indonesia. Cheap cheap and the stylists have curly hair.
To be fair, I do look like a famous A-list movie star. But I don't think the cut fits me. Besides, don't you think Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon looks a tad too manish?
Now, where's my brown bag... let me cut 2 holes on it for my eyes.
That line remined me of this Singaporean page: What I Told My Hairdresser, and What She Heard
What I Said: “I’m thinking of trying a more glamourous hairstyle… can you style me to make me look like a movie star?”
What She Heard: “Chewbacca, can?”
Rene: lol, yeah that sounds about right!
plus..i sooo know what u mean..esp. the fact about going to chinese-speaking hairstylists..always bring a translator with you.. =) it helps!
so you went for soft rebonding?? =D TOLD you to relax ur hair! =p
but ney, don't be too upset...ur hair will fall into place.. soon =)
